Baxall & Videology launch new CCTV product ranges using IndigoVision's
                            VideoBridge technology

Marks significant step forward in IndigoVision's aim to become the de-facto
video technology standard for Digital CCTV

Edinburgh - 21 May 2001 - CCTV equipment manufacturers Baxall (EU) and
Videology (US) have today launched new product ranges based on IndigoVision's
(IND.L) VideoBridge technology, joining market leaders Panasonic and Cirrus
Logic in adopting IndigoVision's technology and taking IndigoVision closer to
its goal of becoming the de-facto standard in digital CCTV.

Sergio Tansini, IndigoVision's Chief Operating Officer, explained, "The $5b
CCTV market is set for exponential growth as it transitions from analogue to
digital (video-over-IP) over the coming years. The market has been looking for
a clear standard to ensure compatibility across manufacturers, thereby
avoiding a repeat of the costly VHS/Betamax wars. IndigoVision is rapidly
being confirmed as that standard."

The new Baxall and Videology digital CCTV products are connected by
video-over-IP from end to end and include: digital CCTV cameras, digital video
recorders, digital TVs and digital CCTV consoles. Various engines from
IndigoVision's next-generation VideoBridge6000 range power each of these
products. In using VideoBridge engines rather than developing their own,
Baxall and Videology have capitalised on the 160 man years of R&D invested by
IndigoVision, resulting in a phenomenally fast four months to market from
signature of license.

This clearly demonstrates the strength of IndigoVision's Partner Programme
which, in addition to fast time to market, also allows manufacturers to
differentiate their offering whilst adopting a common standard. In adopting
one independent standard rather than attempting to establish their own,
manufacturers are ensuring the market gets what it wants: end-to-end
cross-vendor compatibility.

Digital CCTV has dramatic benefits over analogue: cameras can be viewed from
anywhere in the world, capital cost can be reduced by 70% and operating cost
can be reduced by 90%. These extreme cost and performance benefits are
powerful drivers that will cause the market to rapidly adopt digital and grow
significantly in the process.

IndigoVision's next generation VideoBridge6000 technology is a suite of
engines that can power virtually any digital video product. These engines
integrate video digitisation, compression, analysis, IP transmission, mass
recording, mass playback, streaming, wireless, Ethernet, administration, etc.
and are provided as embedded platforms which are miniature, cost effective and
power-efficient. VideoBridge powers products to provide full-motion real-time
video almost instantaneously anywhere in the world both live and recorded.
VideoBridge allows 100 cameras to be recorded simultaneously on a digital
video recorder comparable in cost to an analogue VCR and with storage capacity
of 2400 hours, 400 times the capacity of long-play VHS tape.

IndigoVision CEO Oliver Vellacott said, "These launches mean that we are very
close to achieving our goal of becoming the adopted standard for the digital
CCTV market. Many see this market as the blueprint for the way that the video
technology market will develop in future, in which case we are well-positioned
to secure a leading role in the development of that huge market as well."

IndigoVision is exhibiting VideoBridge6000 at the IFSEC 2001 security
conference, Hall 20, Stand M110 this week.

                                     Ends
