ACQUISITION OF AN INDIRECT EQUITY INTEREST IN AL FAJER RETAKAFUL INSURANCE 
COMPANY K.S.C.C. 
Further to the Company's announcement today in respect of the acquisition of an 
indirect equity interest in Al Fajer Retakaful Insurance Company K.S.C.C., the 
directors of the Company wish to announce the posting of a circular, 
incorporating a notice convening an extraordinary general meeting ("EGM"), 
today. The EGM is scheduled to take place on 18 December 2009 at 10 a.m. at 
Arnold House, St. Julian's Avenue, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 3NF, The 
Channel Islands. 
Copies of these documents have been submitted to the UK Listing Authority in 
accordance with Rule 9.6.1 of the Listing Rules and will shortly be available 
for inspection at the UK Listing Authorities Document Viewing Facility, which is 
situated at The Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary 
Wharf, London E14 5HS.  A copy of the circular can be obtained from the 
Company's website, www.gmfa.com.
