Commencement of Drilling at Bullabulling
24 June 2010
Central China Goldfields plc, in conjunction with its 50:50 partner Auzex
Resources Limited , is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced at the
Bullabulling Gold Project situated in Western Australia.
This drilling programme will consist of seven oriented diamond drill holes
totalling about 1,400m to intersect known mineralisation over a 2.5km portion
of the Bullabulling Trend.
The programme's objectives are:
* To confirm the previous economic drill intercepts
* To test continuity of the existing resources
* To target deeper high-grade material
* To test the structural model and provide detailed geological data
* To provide metallurgical and geotechnical samples
The seven holes are all located between Bacchus South pit to the Phoenix pit .
Previous drilling beneath the Bacchus pit previously intersected gold
mineralisation with intercepts of 7m @ 77g/t Au, 5m @ 14g/t Au, 4m @ 5.08g/t
Au, 3m @ 4.43g/t Au, and 3m @ 9.16g/t Au. This mineralisation remains unmined
and is not included in the current JORC resource estimate.
Upon completion of the drilling programme, it is expected that the whole
database of over 12,000 holes can be used to provide an updated JORC-compliant
resource classification.
