                   AT DONG MAO HUO NEAR SURFACE GOLD PROJECT                   

LONDON - 5 November 2007 - Central China Goldfields plc (AIM: GGG) is pleased
to announce that a 2,000 metres diamond drilling programme at Dong Mao Huo is
now underway.

The Dong Mao Huo near surface gold project will now be the focus of the
company's activities over the winter months as the company seeks to accelerate
this project.

The aim of this diamond drilling programme is to better understand the controls
of mineralisation, to test the metallurgy of the oxide ore, to gain
geotechnical data and to test the potential for the deeper sulphide ores.

Assays will be released as and when they are available.

The Company is also pleased to report that consultants from Chinese Nonferrous
Engineering and Research Institute (ENFI) have been on site to make an initial
assessment to put the Dong Mao Huo mine back into production.
