                              Board Appointment

Eleco plc, the building, engineering and software systems group, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Jonathan Cohen, aged 58, as a Non-Executive
Director.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co, Jonathan
built a successful career in merchant banking as Chief Executive of County
NatWest and Vice Chairman of Charterhouse. He is currently Chairman of
Independent Direction Limited and a Non-Executive Director of The Rose
Partnership Limited, of Imerge Limited and of Laird Strategic Limited.
