Eclipse Blinds plc ("the Company") announces that it received notification on
1 December 1998 that on the same date J. Edward  Black, Director, purchased
35,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company at a price of 60p per share.  On the
same date J. Edward Black and Mrs D. D. Black's Children's Discretionary Trust
also purchased 25,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company also at a price of 60p
per share.
