Downing Protected VCT IX plc

At the Annual General Meeting of Downing Protected VCT IX plc, held today, all 
resolutions were passed. Further to Resolution 7, the Company will change its 
name to "Downing Planned Exit VCT 9 plc".  A further announcement will be made 
when this is completed. 
 
Details of the proxy votes in respect of the resolutions passed at the Annual 
General Meeting received as at 2:50pm on 21 May 2010, 48 hours before the time 
of the meeting (excluding weekends), at Downing Management Services are set out
