             ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING STATEMENT
                             
Dagenham Motors Group plc, the UKs largest dedicated  Ford
dealership group, held its Annual General Meeting at  12.00
noon today.

At the meeting, Chairman, David Philip told shareholders:

"In  our annual report I stated that profits for the  first
two  months of 1998 were ahead of both our budget  and  the
corresponding period last year.

I  am  pleased  to  report  that this  highly  satisfactory
situation has continued, with overall vehicle sales for the
four  month period up by 1,500 to 8,100 units, an  increase
of 23%.

The  first four months profits are also ahead of our budget
and the corresponding period last year.

Our new dealerships at Chelmsford and Kingston became fully
operational  in  April and I am pleased  to  say  that  the
Plaistow  dealership,  acquired  in  January,  has  made  a
positive contribution in the first four months.

The  Board of Directors are therefore confident of  another
successful year."
