CLIPPER WINDPOWER AND EDF EN SIGN STRATEGIC AGREEMENT FOR LONG-TERM SUPPLY OF LIBERTY WIND TURBINES FOR PROJECTS IN MEXICO
First 67.5 MW Of Liberty Wind Turbines To Be Installed In The State Of Oaxaca To Power Wal-Mart Establishments in Mexico
CARPINTERIA, CALIFORNIA - August 7, 2008 - Clipper Windpower Plc today announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with Eltrica
del Valle de Mexico, a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles ("EDF EN") for the supply of Liberty 2.5 MW wind turbines for EDF EN wind energy
projects in Mexico over coming years. The contract for the first 67.5 MW (27 Liberty wind turbines) will supply clean, renewable power to
establishments owned by subsidiaries of Wal-Mart de Mexico, S.A.B. de C.V. beginning in 2009.

The first 27 Liberty wind turbines will be installed in a wind energy project currently under development by EDF EN which is
slated for completion in the summer of 2009. Sited in La Ventosa, within the Istmo region in the State of Oaxaca, one of Mexico's windiest
areas, the project will be the first in Mexico to utilize multi-megawatt wind turbines.
The wind turbines will be built at Clipper's 330,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Clipper's 2.5 MW Liberty is the largest wind turbine built in the Americas.
