Pursuant to AIM rule 17, Clipper Windpower Plc makes notification of the
following share option grant on 1 October 2007 to a director of the Company:


  * Charles Howard Williams has been granted an option to acquire 50,000 new
    ordinary shares in the Company of 10p each;


The share option grant is pursuant to the rules of the Company's 2005 Executive
Share Option Plan.

The share purchase price is based upon the 1 October 2007 mid-market closing
price of #5.86 per share.  Effective 1 October 2007, 20,000 shares vest and are
exercisable immediately.  Effective 16 April 2008, 2009, 2010, an additional
10,000 shares vest and are exercisable.  The option expires on 1 October 2013.
The consideration of the grant was nil.
