The settlement date should be 15 November 2006 not 8 November 2006 as previously
advised.

Charter Pan - European Trust plc announces that on 10 November 2006 it
purchased, for cancellation, 25,000 Ordinary 1p Shares (representing 0.09% of
the issued Ordinary capital), at a price of 202.92p per Ordinary Share.

Settlement of the purchased 25,000 Ordinary Shares is due on 15 November 2006.

Following the purchase and cancellation of the 25,000 Ordinary Shares, the total
number of Treasury Shares held by the Company will be 1,485,000. The issued
share capital of the Company, less the total number of Ordinary Shares held in
Treasury, will be 28,272,188 Ordinary 1p Shares.
