INSPEC ANNOUNCES TWO MORE
THIRD PARTY AGREEMENTS
Inspec Group plc, the international manufacturer of fine and speciality
chemicals, is pleased to announce the conclusion of two agreements for the
building of new manufacturing plants on its 400 acre chemical site in
Antwerp.
The first, a long term agreement between Inspec and Seppic, an Air Liquide
company, covers the construction of a new plant on the site, together with
the supply of ethylene oxide by Inspec to Seppic's industrial sites in
Europe. In addition, a number of contracts have been entered into for the
supply of utilities and services.
The second is an agreement with Kuraray Co. Ltd, who will construct a new
manufacturing plant for EVAL ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer resins.
It is scheduled to commission in 1999 and will complement Kuraray's
exisiting units in Japan and the USA.
Commenting on the agreements, Inspec Chairman Dr. John Hollowood said:
"These are the second and third parties to invest on the site in recent
months, complementing our strategy of enhancing Inspec Belgium's reputation
as a first class and competitive operating service in Antwerp, Europe's
main chemical hub"
