Country Gardens plc ("the Company") announces that following the exercise of
share options by Mr. Geoffrey Caunce, Chairman, a total of 20,000 Ordinary
Shares of 25p each have now been issued.  These shares will rank pari passu in
all respects with the existing issued ordinary shares in the Company. 
Application for Listing of these shares has been made to the London Stock
Exchange and it is expected that dealings will commence on Friday 14 November
1997.
