                   Appointment of new Non-Executive Director

The Board of Clean Air Power Limited (AIM: CAP) is pleased to announce the
appointment, with immediate effect, of Bernard Lord as a Non-Executive Director
of the Company.

Bernard Lord, aged 41, is a solicitor and lives in Fredericton, New Brunswick,
Canada. Since completing his second term as Premier of the Province of New
Brunswick in October 2006, he has joined the leading Canadian law firm McCarthy
Tetrault LLP as Senior Counsel. His interest in transportation was evident
during his tenure as Premier during which time major investment in 
infrastructure of the road network of New Brunswick was made. His commitment to
the environment was demonstrated by the creation of Efficiency New Brunswick, an
agency dedicated to the reduction of energy consumption and costs and improving
the environment.
John Pettitt, CEO of Clean Air Power Limited, commented:

"It gives me great pleasure to welcome Bernard to our Board. His knowledge of
the transport sector and track record in promoting energy efficiency are a
perfect fit for Clean Air Power. In addition, Bernard's legal and political
experience will add an extra dimension to the Board as we look to drive forward
the growth of the company."
