Capital Radio plc

In connection with its application for listing, Capital Radio
plc confirms that the number of shares to be issued pursuant
to the acquisition of Beat 106 Limited and the cash placing
announced on 12th July 2000 is 4,281,014 new ordinary shares
of 2.5p each.  These shares are expected to be admitted to the
Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on
the London Stock Exchange on 19th July 2000.
