                    ACQUISITION OF REMAINING 35% OF FOX FM


Capital Radio today announces it has acquired Thamesquote Limited, the holder
of 35% of First Oxfordshire Radio Company Limited (owner of FOX FM).  The
consideration is #6.3 million, less the amount of the current liabilities of
Thamesquote Limited (approximately #1.1 million).

For the year ended 30 September 1999 FOX achieved a profit before tax of #1.6
million on revenue of #3.8 million.

Following the acquisition, Capital Radio now controls 92% of the shares in
First Oxfordshire Radio Company Limited.  The acquisition is expected to be
earnings enhancing immediately.
