        APPOINTMENT OF NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER



Braemore Resources plc (AIM: BRR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr
Hamish Bohannan as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company,
with immediate effect.



Mr Bohannan is a senior mining executive with over 30 years in mining and
processing operations in Australia, Africa and North and South America.



Most recently he was Chief Operating Officer of IAMGold Corporation (listed on
the TSX, NYSE, and ASX) following its successful merger with Gallery Gold
Limited ("Gallery"). Prior to the merger he was Gallery's Managing Director,
having taken the company from a market capitalization on the ASX of
approximately A$20 million to A$300 million.



Mr Bohannan has also previously held the positions of General Manager for WMC
Resources Leinster and Kambalda Nickel operations and Executive General Manager
of operations for Iluka Resources Limited.



Mr Clayton Dodd, who has held the position of Managing Director since July 2005,
will remain an executive director of the Company and representative of
Braemore's major shareholder, Atomaer Holdings Pty Ltd.



The Company's Chairman, Mr David Humann, said "Mr Bohannan's significant
experience in successfully managing exploration, mining and metals processing
operations in three continents will be of great value to the Company.  Mr
Bohannan's first and primary task is to drive the Company's contract and
opportunities for reprocessing and commercialisation of the tailings resources
at BHP Billiton's Nickel West operations in Western Australia.  This process
will include completion of a bankable feasibility study designed to define and
fund the nickel product plant."



Mr Bohannan, aged 50, is a Chartered Engineer having qualified at the Royal
School of Mines Imperial College London in 1980 with a First Class Honors degree
in Mining Engineering. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from
the Deakin University.  He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and
Metallurgy, a Member of the Institution of Mining and Metallurgy and a Member of
the Australian Institute of Company Directors.



The Company has granted Mr Bohannan 10 million options to subscribe for ordinary
shares in the Company of which 5 million will be exercisable at a price of 7.5p
per share and 5 million exercisable at a price of 10p per share, with a term of
two years from the date of grant.
