Andrews Sykes announces that, in accordance with an ordinary resolution
passed at the last AGM, it has today purchased for cancellation 5,000 of
its ordinary shares at a price of 225 pence per ordinary share.  This
brings the total purchases since 7 July 1998 to 25,000 shares.
