Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that on 4 September 2008 it purchased 50,000 of its own
Ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of �1.02 per share and a further 50,000
of its own Ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of �1.015 per share. The
shares have been purchased for cancellation.

In addition to these transactions 11,000 shares from treasury are required to
be cancelled to ensure the Company holds no more then 10% of its current shares
in issue in treasury.

Following these repurchases the Company has 8,881,438 Ordinary shares held in
treasury. The number of shares in issue is now 88,816,819. The number of shares
in issue, less those held in treasury, is 79,935,381.
