Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that on 1 July 2008 it purchased 1,101,438 of its own
Ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of �0.889367 per share. The shares were
re-purchased for holding in treasury.

The Company also announces that on 1 July 2008 it purchased 83,562 of its own
Ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of �0.889367 per share. The shares were
re-purchased for cancellation.

In addition to these transactions 10,000 shares from treasury have been
cancelled to ensure the Company holds no more then 10% of its current shares in
issue in treasury.

Following these repurchases and cancellations the Company has 8,962,438
Ordinary shares held in treasury. The number of shares in issue is now
89,630,819. The number of shares in issue, less those held in treasury, is
80,668,381.
