Withdrawal of Notes Linked to Guaranteed Contingent Value Rights Instruments (the "Nuclear Power Notes")

Barclays Bank PLC confirms that the Nuclear Power Notes are due to mature on 7 February 2019. The Nuclear Power Notes will therefore be withdrawn from trading on the NEX Exchange Growth Market at market close on 7 February 2019.

For further details please see the Terms and Conditions of the Nuclear Power Notes and the Terms and Conditions of the CVRs which are set out on pages 65 to 120 of the prospectus for the Nuclear Power Notes issued by Barclays Bank PLC on 5 November 2008 (the "Prospectus"). A supplement to the Prospectus was issued by Barclays Bank PLC on 10 February 2009.
