Dividend No. 132

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, 19 May 2004 the Directors of AECI
Limited declared a dividend at the rate of 5.5 per cent per annum for the six
months ending Tuesday, 15 June 2004 payable on Tuesday, 15 June 2004 to holders
of preference shares recorded in the books of the Company at the close of
business on Friday, 11 June 2004.

The last day to trade cum dividend will be Friday, 4 June 2004, and shares will
commence trading ex dividend as from Monday, 7 June 2004.

The dividend is declared in pound sterling and payment will be made from the
offices of the transfer secretaries in South Africa and the United Kingdom on
Tuesday, 15 June 2004.

Dividends payable from South Africa will be paid in South African currency at
the rate of 34.7647 cents per share in accordance with the exchange rate ruling
on Monday, 10 May 2004 (1 pound sterling = R12.6417).

Dividends payable from the United Kingdom office will be subject to such tax
deductions as are prescribed by United Kingdom legislation unless a certificate
exempting the shareholder concerned from such tax deduction is received before
Friday, 4 June 2004.

Any change of address or dividend instruction must be received before Friday, 4
June 2004.

Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised from Monday, 7
June 2004 to Friday, 11 June 2004, both days inclusive.
