Summer Energy Reports Second Quarter 2015 Financial Results and surpasses 100,000 RCEs

Houston, Texas – August 12, 2015
Summer Energy Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: SUME) (the “Company”), the parent company of Summer Energy, LLC, a fast-growing retail electric provider in Houston, Texas, reported positive financial results for the second quarter of 2015. These results reflect its sixth consecutive quarter of customer growth and third consecutive quarter of profitability.
For the period ended June 30, 2015, the Company reported quarterly operating income of $811,092 and year-to-date operating income of $1,558,260.
Summer Energy also announced that its customer count continues to grow as a result of strategic marketing partnerships and third party sales. As of July 2015, the customer base exceeded 100,000 Residential Customer Equivalents (RCE) with a mix of both residential and commercial customers.
“Summer Energy’s growth has surpassed our expectations for 2015” said Neil Leibman, CEO of the Company. “Achieving 100,000 RCEs last month was significant for the Company and a testament to our team’s commitment to success,” continued Mr. Leibman.
