Iberdrola SA said Wednesday that profit rose in the full year and raised its dividend proposal.

The Spanish utility company said that net profit was 3.88 billion euros ($4.39 billion) in the year, compared with EUR3.61 billion a year earlier.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization came in at EUR12.01 billion, up from EUR10.04 billion.

Revenue increased 18% on year to EUR39.11 billion.

Iberdrola said it will propose a 4.8% increase in annual remuneration at the next general shareholders' meeting, to reach a dividend of EUR0.44 a share for 2021. The company already paid an interim dividend of EUR0.17 a share and is now set to propose an additional remuneration of EUR0.27 a share.
