EDRVY EDP Renovaveis SA (PK)

Engie SA (ENGI.FR) said Tuesday that it isn't currently preparing a takeover bid for Portugal's EDP Renovaveis S/A (EDPR.LB), following a media report of a deal in the works.

Engie said it hasn't taken any decision in relation to EDPR but it is "constantly assessing investment opportunities."

Bloomberg had previously reported that Engie was working with advisers to evaluate offers for all or part of the Portuguese renewables company.

At 0712 GMT shares in EDPR were trading around 3.2% higher, having earlier risen as much as 7.5%.
