Bayer AG said Tuesday that it has entered into a
development-and-license agreement with U.K.-based company Blackford
Analysis Ltd. to build a digital platform for medical imaging.
Under the agreement, Bayer will create artificial
intelligence-enabled solutions to power the platform, which should
allow health-care professionals to manage digital-clinical imaging.
The platform will provide access to diagnostic imaging analysis
applications, protocol management tools and AI algorithms, giving
physicians the potential to increase efficiency and reduce errors,
the German chemical and pharmaceutical conglomerate said.
Blackford Analysis will provide the underlying technology for
Bayer to develop its digital solutions, it added.
