PR Newswire (US)
WEST BERLIN, N.J., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global
Resource Corp. (OTC:GBRC) (BULLETIN BOARD: GBRC) has instructed its
scientific board to advise and work with the company in
commercializing the company's patent pending microwave technology
projects. GBRC is pleased to announce that one of the country's
foremost experts in microwave technology will be joining the newly
created board. Professor Dinesh Agrawal, PHD, the Director of the
Microwave Processing and Engineering Center (MPEC) and Professor
George Semouchkin, PHD, an expert in modeling of electromagnetic
energies in various environments. The Microwave Processing and
Engineering Center has developed itself into the leading research
facility on microwave processing in the USA. They also have
researched and collaborated with academic and research institutes
in Japan, China, India and Germany. The two professors have well
over 40 years in the research and development industry. The company
has instructed the scientific board with the task of
commercialization and scalability of all the company's projects.
Professor Agrawal stated, "With our experience and your team of
engineers' and their expertise we believe that large scale
production could be possible, then and this would have a tremendous
implication/impact on the global economy as it relates to the
petroleum industry." Furthermore, he stated, "Our center will also
conduct various experiments to confirm your results and also test
the samples for their properties. We will develop a student
internship program between Penn State graduate students and Global
Resource Corporation. The trained students under this program will
be an asset and valuable proponents of this exciting technology."
Frank Pringle, CEO, GBRC stated, "We are extremely pleased that we
have an alliance with Professor Agrawal, Professor Semouchkin,
Microwave Processing and Engineering Center and of course Penn
State University which will strengthen our patent pending microwave
technology. These may seem like small steps to an outsider for our
company to make, however, to my knowledge there are no companies in
our industry that have had the ability or any success in creating a
commercial unit to do what we are doing. Our scientific board has
examined our patent pending microwave technology and all of our
calculations and computations and they have said that it will be a
great pleasure in verifying all of our findings thus far and taking
our company to the next step which is commercialization. We are
entering a bold new exciting stage for our investors and our
company alike. With the support of Penn State's Microwave
Department we will accelerate our development and
commercialization." About Global Resource Corporation: Global
Resource Corp. has a patent pending process that allows for removal
of oil and alternative petroleum products at very low cost from
various resources, including shale deposits, tar sands and waste
oil streams with significantly greater yields and lower costs than
are available utilizing existing known technologies. The process
uses specific frequencies of microwave radiation to extract oils
and alternative petroleum products from secondary raw materials,
and is expected to dramatically reduce the cost for oil and gas
recovery from a variety of unconventional hydrocarbon resources.
GBRC's technology will not only be developed to extract oil from
shale, but from depleted oil fields in the US and elsewhere, many
of which still contain more than half of the hydrocarbons
originally in these fields, because the residual hydrocarbons are
too viscous to extract with conventional technology. Contact:
