The free urban daily 24 Hours is unveiling a new design today with a more contemporary and vibrant look for the fall season.

"We have decided to revamp 24 Hours to continue to meet and exceed our readers' expectations. The redesigned product will provide our readers with all the information and entertainment they need to be informed on their daily commute, in a reorganized and more attractive format" said Chris Brockbank, Vice President, Marketing, Sun Media Corporation.

New look

The facelift is evident starting with this September 8th edition of 24 Hours. The paper has been completely redesigned for a more modern and sleeker look, with new fonts, lively new colours and a new front-page logo.

The redesign of 24 Hours will also provide a new and consistent image for the entire 24 Hours / 24 heures family of newspapers (in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver). 24 Hours engaged its readership throughout the redesign process using its reader research panel to understand reader expectations and ensure their satisfaction with the new look and design.

New Content

Every day, 24 Hours will contain the following sections: Breaking News, World News, Money, Arts & Entertainment, Living Well and Sports. The Living Well section will feature columns on Health & Fitness, Couples & Family, Fashion, Homes and Food & Drinks in a Monday-to-Friday rotation.

In addition, 24 Hours will feature Workzone on Mondays, Travel on Tuesdays, Autos on Wednesdays and Digital Life on Thursdays. The 24H Weekend supplement, your essential guide to weekend entertainment, will be published on Fridays.

Bigger bang for advertisers

With its reorganized content and new look, 24 Hours will provide advertisers with a more effective advertising medium. As our national family of papers will feature aligned content, advertisers will have a prime vehicle for reaching readers aged 18 and over in Canada's urban centres from coast to coast.
