TORONTO, Dec. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - This New Year's Eve, Torontonians can enjoy free, safe
rides to and from their festivities across the city. In the second
year of a three-year partnership with Corby Spirit and Wine, the
Toronto Transit Commission is offering complimentary, extended
service from 7 p.m. on December 31, 2014, to 7
a.m. on January 1, 2015,
including subway service until approximately 4 a.m.
"New Year's Eve is a time to
celebrate, but there are no excuses when it comes to getting home
safely," said Patrick O'Driscoll,
President and CEO, Corby Spirit and
Wine. "Corby Spirit and Wine is proud to be partnering with the TTC
for the second year to offer Torontonians safe rides on
New Year's Eve. It is part of our
larger commitment to reducing drinking and driving and promoting
the responsible consumption of alcohol."

Late night service will be extended on most routes. Specific
details are as follows:
Wednesday, December 31, 2014 -
New Year's Eve
Most routes with Monday-Friday late evening service will
continue until 4 a.m., with the Blue
Night Network operating from 4 a.m. to 7
a.m.
The last subway trains are as follows:
- Line 1: north from Union at 3:30
a.m.
- Line 2: east or west from Bloor-Yonge station at 3:37 a.m.
- Line 3: east from Kennedy station at 4:07 a.m.
- Line 4: east from Sheppard-Yonge at 3:58
a.m.
Thursday, January 1, 2015 -
New Year's Day:
- Sunday service.
- Subway starts at 9 a.m.
Starting on December 10, Corby
Spirit and Wine is encouraging Toronto residents to remind their family and
friends to get home safely and pledge their commitment to not
drinking and driving by posting selfies in front of the campaign
posters in the TTC and using the hashtags #SafeRides and #NoExcuses
on social media.

languages including English and French on iPhone and Android, and
enables consumers to monitor their alcohol intake and test their
knowledge of responsible drinking through a "responsible quiz" made
