TORONTO, May 31, 2019 /CNW/ - (TSX: CGX) - Cineplex Inc. ("Cineplex") is pleased to announce the results for the election of its directors at the May 29, 2019 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

Each of the nominee directors listed in Cineplex's Management Information Circular dated March 29, 2019 was elected as a director, without a vote by ballot being conducted. Cineplex received the following proxies with regard to voting on the 10 directors nominated for election, as set forth in the table below:

In addition to the election of directors, two additional resolutions were also addressed during the meeting.

Appointment of Auditors:
The appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as auditors of the corporation was approved. Votes were received as follows:

Votes For:           98.69%
Withheld:              1.31%

Advisory Vote on Executive Compensation:
The advisory resolution to accept the approach of non-binding say-on-pay set forth in the Management Information Circular on the company's approach to executive compensation. Votes were received as follows:

Votes For:           90.12%
Against:                 9.88%
