Purchase of own securities

The Company announces that it has today made a market purchase of 450,000

9% Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock ("CULS") in the capital of the Company

(SEDOL No.0213187), representing 0.835% of the current issued CULS in the

Company, for cancellation at a price of 105.0 pence per CULS.



Following cancellation, 53,446,830 CULS in the Company will remain in issue.
