                        Acquisition of the Moss Cottage


Further to the announcement issued on 14 July 2003, Moss Cottage Hotels Limited
("MCHL") has today completed the purchase of the Moss Cottage, Ripley. The
Company holds 80% of the share capital in MCHL.


Commenting on the completion of the acquisition, Arthur Baker, Chairman of the
Company said "We are delighted to have completed our first acquisition and we
have already commenced work on implementing the development of this site which
we believe will significantly enhance both the trading performance and the value
of this investment.


In addition, we are actively reviewing a number of other sites with a view to
securing our second acquisition in the Autumn."
