13:24 ET -- Walmart Inc. is one of the most talked about companies in the U.S. across all news items in the last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. The company said third-quarter comparable U.S. sales rose 8.2% and raised its fiscal-year guidance. Walmart also authorized the buyback of up to $20 billion of stock and agreed to pay $3.1 billion to settle opioid-crisis lawsuits brought by several U.S. states and municipalities.
