Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On June 4, 2024, UniFirst Corporation (the “Company”) filed a Current Report on Form 8-K (the “Form 8-K”) with the Securities and Exchange Commission to report the appointment of Cecilia McKenney to the Company’s Board of Directors (the “Board”). At the time of the Form 8-K, the Board had not made a determination regarding the Board committee assignments for Ms. McKenney.

The Form 8-K is hereby amended solely to report that, on July 11, 2024, the Board appointed Ms. McKenney to serve on the Board’s Compensation Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, in each case effective immediately.
