On September 10, 2009, senior management of Southern Union Company (the “Company”) will present at the Barclays Capital 2009 CEO Energy/Power Conference in New York. The presentation materials focus on (i) Company overview; (ii) strategic initiatives, including Southern Union Gas Services, Ltd’s hedging portfolio; (iii) organic growth, including expected capital costs and timing; and (iv) value creation.

The Company is furnishing the presentation as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and has also made the presentation materials available on its website at www.sug.com .
