NEW YORK, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seligman Quality Municipal Fund, Inc. (NYSE:SQF) (the "Fund") announced the results of proxy voting relating to the Fund's 2006 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. The results are as follows: 1) Each of the nominees for election as director has received a majority of the votes entitled to be cast at the meeting, and each is therefore elected; and 2) a majority of the votes cast at the meeting was cast in favor of the proposal to ratify the selection of Deloitte & Touche LLP as auditors of the Corporation for 2006, and that proposal was approved. The stockholder proposal to request that the Board of Directors promptly take steps necessary to open-end the Fund was not properly presented at the meeting and therefore not voted upon. However, management of the Fund has determined to recommend to the Fund's Board of Directors that the Fund hold a meeting of stockholders in the first quarter of 2007 and that either a resolution authorizing the open-ending of the Fund or a resolution authorizing the liquidation of the Fund be on the agenda for such meeting.
