Perrigo Says FDA Approved Its Oral Contraceptive Pill for OTC Use

Healthcare product and pharmaceuticals manufacturer Perrigo said
the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the company's
oral contraceptive Opill for over-the-counter use in all ages.
Opill will be the first-ever birth control pill available
over-the-counter without needing a doctor's prescription in the
U.S. The oral contraceptive will be sold in stores and online at
leading retailers across the U.S. early in the first quarter of
2024, Perrigo said.
Shares rose 5.8% to $35.00 in premarket trading Thursday.
