Owens-Illinois Announces New Chief Communications Officer TOLEDO,
Ohio, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Owens-Illinois, Inc.,
(NYSE:OI) today announced that Carol R. Gee has been named chief
communications officer effective December 1. In this new role at
O-I, Gee will lead the planning, development and implementation of
the Company's global communication process. She will be responsible
for aligning the worldwide strategy with all business unit
strategies as well as developing a global organizational network to
support O-I's communication challenges and objectives. Gee has
spent 32 years in advertising, public relations, brand management
and corporate communications roles in retailing, advertising
agencies and with DuPont. She is a member of the Association of
National Advertisers and is often a speaker for the American
Management Association and the Conference Board. "We are seeking to
improve our communications, both internally and externally, to help
us leverage our global position, broaden our market base and speak
