TOLEDO, Ohio, July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Owens-Illinois, Inc. (NYSE:OI) today announced that Michael Paparone has been named president, Closure and Specialty Products, effective September 1. Mr. Paparone is succeeding Michael McDaniel who is retiring after more than 34 years of service at O-I. Prior to joining O-I in 2004, he was CEO of the Invironmentalists, a commercial floor covering distribution and service subsidiary of Invista(TM). Additionally, Mr. Paparone held several operational, commercial and planning roles in his 30 years with DuPont, including global leadership responsibilities for its engineering resin molding business, Vespel(TM). He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from St. Joseph's University and a MBA in marketing management from Drexel University.
