JEC Acquires Stake in Indian Co. - Analyst Blog

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (JEC) recently
acquired a majority stake in Indian-based company Consulting
Engineering Services Private Limited (CES).
Employing more than 2,000 people, CES provides a range of
solutions in infrastructure development, planning, engineering, and
construction management.
The addition of CES will double Jacobs’ existing resources in
India to more than 4,500 employees along with expanding footprint
in Asia and the Middle East. Jacobs has been operating in India
since 1993 with the purchase of Humphreys and Glasgow.
Earlier, Jacobs entered into a five-year master services
agreement (MSA) with Infineum, a leading manufacturer and seller of
petroleum additives, for operations in Europe, Asia and North
America. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
As per the agreement, Infineum’s manufacturing facilities in the
U.S., France, Germany, U.K., Italy and Singapore is receiving
Jacob’s engineering services. Services from Jacobs will aid
Infineum's project development at its manufacturing locations.
California-based Jacobs Engineering is one of the leading
providers of professional, technical and construction services to
industrial, commercial and governmental clients. The company
provides its services through offices and subsidiaries located
principally in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
The company offers services in four areas: Construction
Services, Project Services, Operations and Management, and Process,
Scientific and Systems consulting.
Jacobs Engineering also received a contract from Goteborg Energi
AB for the GoBiGas-project, a 20 megawatt biomass gasification and
methanation project in Goteborg, Sweden. The contract value
was $19 million.
