Huston as chief operating officer of its industry leading retail subsidiary, Constellation NewEnergy, North America's largest provider of competitive electricity to commercial customers. Huston served most recently as vice president, electric transmission and distribution, for Constellation Energy's regulated utility, Baltimore Gas and Electric. He has been with the company for more than 20 years in a variety of strategic and operational leadership positions. In 2002, while serving as vice president of corporate strategy and development for Constellation Energy, Huston played a leading role in a series of strategic acquisitions, including AES NewEnergy, which became Constellation NewEnergy (CNE). CNE today serves more than 70 million megawatt hours and provides competitive power to more than two-thirds of the Fortune 100. In 1999, when Constellation Energy became the holding company for BGE and its other subsidiaries, Huston became Constellation Energy's manager of corporate strategy and development. In May 2002 he was elected vice president. In this role, he played a leading role in a series of acquisitions, including AES NewEnergy, Alliance Energy Services, Fellon-McCord & Associates, Blackhawk Energy Services, Kaztex Energy Management and Energy East's Ginna nuclear facility. Huston actively participates in community affairs boards including the Maryland Science Center, Baltimore's First Tee, the Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation, the University of Maryland Dean of Engineering Board of Visitors, GBC Leadership and has been a long-term supporter of Special Olympics Maryland. He earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1985 and a master's degree in General Administration in 1995 from University of Maryland University College.
