"Alltel's International Long Distance Value Plan is a great option for wireless customers who regularly place calls from the United States to other countries," said Ric Crane, Alltel's vice president of marketing strategy and pricing. "We're delighted to be able to deliver these very real savings to our customers." Wireless customers who sign up for the International Long Distance Value Plan will pay $3.99 per month for long distance rates that start as low as 9 cents per minute for calls to Mexico and top out at 35 cents per minute for calls to countries such as Ecuador and Bermuda. Alltel's regular international long-distance rates generally range from 65 cents per minute to $3.99 per minute. The International Long Distance Value Plan may be added to any Alltel wireless postpaid account. It is available for calls to nearly 70 countries.
