Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS) today announced it has been placed in the “Leaders” quadrant in industry analyst firm Gartner Inc.’s Magic Quadrant for Comprehensive Human Resources Business Process Outsourcing.

ACS was positioned in the leaders quadrant based on the evaluation criteria of ability to execute and completeness of vision. According to the report, “leaders perform well, have a clear vision of market direction, and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market. The comprehensive HR BPO players in this quadrant generally share superior market understanding, including market responsiveness and track record, and they have a relatively strong global reach, deep technology leverage, and above-average customer experience as common denominators.”

“ACS has years of experience in transforming the HR functions of some of the world’s largest companies. We’ve invested in innovative technology, tools, processes and people to offer clients a full spectrum of HR outsourcing solutions and services,” said Mark Squiers, executive managing director of ACS HR Outsourcing Services. “We believe our positioning in the leaders quadrant by Gartner is confirmation of what our clients have come to rely on – our extensive global reach, deep domain expertise, an understanding of the market and clients’ unique challenges.”

In the report, Gartner defines comprehensive HR BPO as consisting of “support for multiple business processes within the HR domain through a singular BPO contract and typically includes four or more subprocesses associated with HR, from at least three of the following five categories: payroll, benefits administration, hiring and recruiting, education and training, and personnel administration.” The report was published Nov. 25, 2009 and was authored by Robert H. Brown, Gartner research vice president.

ACS Human Capital Management Solutions cover the entire spectrum of the human resources function and its services are provided to more than four million employees and retirees in more than 80 countries worldwide in 20 languages. ACS’ breadth of comprehensive human resources outsourcing services include: HR services, total benefits services, and learning management services. ACS’ services are further differentiated by the HR consulting and advisory services offered by its subsidiary, Buck Consultants.
