Item 8.01. Other Events.
At a meeting of the Board of Directors of United Fire Group, Inc. (the "Company" or "UFG") held on November 17, 2023 the directors declared a $0.16 per share quarterly cash dividend, which will be paid December 15, 2023 to common stock shareholders of record as of December 1, 2023. A copy of the Company’s related press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

United Fire Group, Inc. Declares a Common Stock Quarterly Cash Dividend of $0.16 per Share
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – November 17, 2023 – Today, the Board of Directors of United Fire Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: UFCS) ("UFG") declared a common stock quarterly cash dividend of $0.16 per share. This dividend will be payable December 15, 2023 to shareholders of record as of December 1, 2023.
UFG has a long history of paying quarterly dividends, with the quarterly cash dividend declared today marking the 223rd consecutive quarterly dividend paid, dating back to March 1968.
