storage architectures and the unique attributes that make them
highly adaptable to these environments.
The responsibilities of the 2011 Chairperson also include:
- Highlighting the innovations in server designs.
- Organizing a forum consisting of server designers and server
users (data centers) that intimately understand the challenges
faced by data centers, in order to provide pointed insight and
advice to server designers for consideration when creating next
generation architectures.
- Emphasize the innovative new uses of data center servers,
especially with the integration of SSDs and virtualization
technologies in next generation servers.
The Server Design Summit is the only event focused entirely on
the $40 billion server market, featuring tutorials, technical
sessions, panel discussions, keynotes, and exhibits. The Summit
includes workshops on Energy-Efficient Servers and Data Centers,
Servers in Cloud Computing, and Increasing Server Performance.
Impressively, the 2010 Server Design Summit, during which STEC
was the lead sponsor, drew over 250 registrants and enjoyed more
than 190 attendees in its first year. The Server Design Summit is a
