The newest version of SilkPerformer introduces record and replay support for load-testing applications that are hosted via Citrix(R) MetaFrame(R) Presentation Server farms and applicationsthat are based on Oracle(R) Forms technology, such as Oracle's E-Business Suite Oracle Applications 11i. Version 6.5 also introduces new automatic result correlation capabilities to simplify the process of analyzing the root causes of errors and application bottlenecks. SilkPerformer 6.5 extends visual script debugging, visual script customization and visual front-end error analysis capabilities to the Citrix and Oracle Forms environments. These features make testing and tuning Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server and Oracle Forms based applications easier than with any other solution currently available. Even users without programming knowledge can customize SilkPerformer Citrix and Oracle Forms test scripts. Using a unique script-to-screen synchronization technology, SilkPerformer ensures that recorded user actions can be reliably replayed under all load conditions and not fall out of sync with on-screen events - even when server response slows. To avoid compromising load test results, SilkPerformer 6.5 load-tests Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server via a completely non-intrusive process. In fact, SilkPerformer 6.5 does not require any installation on the Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server, which makes test preparation on the server side completely unnecessary. Generating load solely on the client side also allows SilkPerformer 6.5 to test load-balanced Citrix deployments. Additionally, SilkPerformer 6.5 supports all Citrix deployment models.
