Statewide Tip-A-Cop(R) Fundraiser to Benefit Special Olympics Illinois

Red Robin teams-up with local Law Enforcement Officers to support
Special Olympics athletes NORMAL, Ill., April 6
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Local law enforcement officers will trade
in their handcuffs and badges for serving aprons and gourmet
burgers at Red Robin(R) restaurants in Illinois for a Tip-A-Cop(R)
fundraiser from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. During the
Tip-A-Cop(R) fundraiser, law enforcement will collect tips from
restaurant guests to benefit Special Olympics Illinois (SO ILL).
This is the second year Red Robin(R) restaurants in Illinois are
hosting the Tip-A-Cop(R) fundraiser. Red Robin, Special Olympics
Illinois and local law enforcement are hoping to exceed its $45,000
goal with support from Illinois residents. Tip-A-Cop(R) is part of
the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run(R) (LETR) campaign. LETR,
which includes a series of relay runs and special events like
Tip-A-Cop(R), is presented by more than 3,000 law enforcement
officers statewide to help raise money and public awareness for
Special Olympics. LETR is the largest grassroots fundraiser and
public awareness vehicle for Special Olympics Illinois, raising
more than $2.2 million in support of the program last year. "On
