Merix Corporation (Nasdaq:MERX), a global manufacturer of printed circuit boards, today announced the appointment of Mr. Kelly E. Lang to the role of Vice President Finance, effective today, and Chief Financial Officer, effective after the filing of the fiscal year 2006 Annual Report on Form 10-K. Mr. Lang succeeds Janie S. Brown, who retired in January 2006. Lang is an experienced financial executive, having served with both industrial and technology companies, including: Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc., Tektronix, Inc. and Crown Pacific Management L.P. Mr. Lang most recently held the position of Vice President, Capital Investment and Business Integration, with Schnitzer Steel, leading that company's acquisition-related integration activities and the expansion of its geographic footprint. Lang also served as Vice President, Corporate Controller, for Schnitzer Steel. During his tenure with Tektronix, Kelly was instrumental in his function as Vice President, Finance, in leading an international acquisition team and directing the related integration effort. As Treasurer and Director of Investor Relations for Crown Pacific, Lang's responsibilities also included SEC reporting and planning and budgeting responsibilities for this timber and wood products company. Mr. Lang is a former CPA, having begun his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
