MeetMe, Inc. (NASDAQ: MEET), a public market leader for social
discovery, has released its MeetMe app in the Windows Phone Store.
This new version of the MeetMe app offers Windows Phone users a
smoother, more seamless experience than opening a mobile browser to
use the MeetMe mobile website. The app has real-time chat and the
same easy-to-use navigation of the Android and iPhone apps, adding
a major benefit to MeetMe users on Windows Phone.
“We are excited to bring the MeetMe app to Windows Phone users,”
said Geoff Cook, CEO of MeetMe. “Before we launched the Windows
app, approximately 10% of all mobile web sessions came from Windows
Phone. With the app now available, we expect our number of Windows
Phone users to increase, especially as we continue to grow in the
United States, India, and Brazil, which are some of Windows Phone
Store's larger markets.”
In addition to the app, MeetMe plans to release an improved
mobile web experience for Windows Phone in the coming weeks.
