Ericsson (ERIC) said Thursday it has taken steps to restores
services after disturbances in a number of its customer
networks.
The telecommunications equipment and services company said it
identified an issue in certain nodes in the core network resulting
in network disturbances for some customers in multiple countries
using two specific software versions of the Serving GPRS Support
Node Mobility Management Entity.
An initial root cause analysis indicated the main issue was an
expired certificate in the software versions installed with these
customers, Ericsson said. The company said most of the affected
customers network services have been restored and it is working
with the remaining customers still experiencing issues.
Ericsson ADRs were recently up 2%.
